(Sorry the links weren’t working today! Who knows why? Let’s try again!)
MIP wants to give away more free stuff! In honor of Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, I have decided to give away cookbooks – because both mother’s and father’s can provide comfort and love and good ol’ fashioned deliciousiosity through the comfort of good food. Included in this contest are two brand-timeouting new cookbooks (I didn’t say “brand-spanking” because I didn’t want to offend anyone. So brand-timeouting seemed more friendly.)
The first cookbook is Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld. Hiding spinach in brownies seems like a good idea to her, and quite possibly, to you.
The second book makes up for the sinful word “Deceptively” in the previous cookbook’s title, because it’s so Christian. I’m kidding. Come to Our Table is a collection of recipes from Midday Connection (on Moody Radio) hosts, support team and listeners. The book is full of family friendly recipes and some good stories to go along with them.
In order to enter my exciting contest, enter a comment below and tell me the answer to this question, “If you could eat anything you wanted for dinner tonight, what would it be?”
Even if you’re a guy, be sure to enter this so you can win it for your mum, your grandmum, your cousin, your newspaper delivery person or yourself. Whatever! Contest ends on Saturday night at midnight.
Since I mentioned Moody Radio above, I’d like to plug two shows that Mr MIP did the themes for. One is Building Relationships with Gary Chapman, which airs on Saturdays. Apparently my five year old has built quite a friendship with him…One day we asked who had done something naughty, she (with no hesitation) said, “I didn’t do it, Gary Chapman did!” Gary is the name of her new imaginary friend. Hm. Anyway, the point is, the show is good – listen in!
The other show is Chris Fabry Live! which airs at 2 pm CST. Check the listings to see when it’s in your area. Chris is a good guy. Support him. (here’s the link to his blog)
