There is nothing like a January to make you want to quit, right? Somebody turn off the cold, please!
My excuses are free-flowing in January. “Well, it was so cold….” “But if I go outside I might freeze into a permanent snow angel…Uh, yeah, I’m an angel, why are you laughing Mr MIP?”
As a reminder, let’s flashback to a Springtime not so long ago, when this was in my backyard. Ahhh….
The excuses aren’t even excuses, it’s just plain ol’ whining. I have started and stopped a million and two things this week. I have gotten out to the gym once and hated every minute of it. I need to go again today and canNOT find the motivation. (Don’t tell Coach. I have one Coach who knows they’re my coach. And one Coach who doesn’t know they’re my coach. And I have a Long Distance Workout Buddy. And yet it’s still not enough.) I did two workouts on the treadmill at home, but that didn’t last long, as my tv downstairs is not working right. So I went back upstairs and read my book in my workout clothes. Yeah, uh, not really the point, right?
Help! There are so many “non-negotiables” on our everyday life that we do because we HAVE to. How do you motivate yourself to do the sorta negotiable stuff?
How do you find motivation to not quit?
