1. I don’t know why, but German pancakes – sometimes known as Dutch Baby Pancakes – keep grabbing my attention lately. My uncle recently posted on a cooking blog (!) about making one, I read about one in a book, I read about it in a magazine, my grandma told me a story about my grandpa and his love of German pancakes…etc. So I decided to make one for lunch yesterday. Because my iron skillet is too big for a normal-sized pancake, I baked one in a 9×13 in. pan using a recipe from the internet.
It was disgusting.Help! Any recipes or ideas?
2. But, fortunately, SuperBoy Chef stepped in and saved the day with his No-Bake Cherry Cheesecake. It was the first time I’ve let him use a mixer. I hope my future daughter-in-law thanks me someday. I’m also teaching him that we don’t call people “stupie-dummies.” I think she’ll appreciate that, too.
