This is a guest post on MIP done by Jeff, Kelli’s brother.
Here is a picture of Kelli when she was young and pretty.
Now, most of you, shame shame, are thinking “How mean! He thinks his sister is now old and ugly.” However, examine my statement, I said no such thing, it was all your mind that determined my sister was old and ugly and that is not nice at all.
This reminds me of my favorite picture of Kelli. When we were kids my parents enjoyed dragging us to every stinking “Christian” camp in the country so they could speak. One year they dragged us to a camp strategically located next to one of the four trees in Iowa.
It was a horrible, horrible place. I was too old to attend camp, which was fine, so I mostly sat around. My sister, ever the social butterfly, got a boyfriend within the first 27 seconds of being there.
Oh, she had much different memories of that camp than I.
Later on in the summer back home I was digging through my sister’s “secret” spots and reading her letters and journals and whatnot. Shh, don’t tell her, she still doesn’t know I knew where her “secret” spots were. Anyway, during the course of the summer her Iowa boyfriend wrote her 87 letters about wanting a picture.
Well, hello! I wrote the guy and told him I’d send him some pictures if he gave me some money. About a week later I got a $10 bill from Iowa! Booyah. A picture went out the next day.
And that’s my favorite picture of my sister.
