Although any week has its ups and downs, this week had some very encouraging, good, fun times and I’m deciding to be thankful tonight, so here they are:
1. A friend and I went out for her Birthday Celebration Part Two, and we enjoyed a great meal at Houlihan’s. We knew exactly what we wanted before we even got there, and I recommend the meal to you as well: The meal begins with a Tuscan Salad – this is a round formed salad with garbanzo beans, a balsamic vinegar dressing, field greens and goat cheese with these amazing breadsticks. Rosemary Chicken with Houlihan’s amazing mashed potatoes, and green beans is the entree and we finished up with the Best Invention Ever: Houlihan’s Mini Desserts (small desserts – just right for after dinner). We had the Strawberry Cheesecake, and the Espresso Chocolate Cake… and our favorite dessert of all: S’More Envelope!! This is a parchment paper which, when opened, has a warm melty mix of marshmallow fluff and chocolate. Mmmmmm… You dip the graham cracker in the chocolatey goo… You must try!
2. Today the ladies in our family got together for our annual Purim Celebration. We read the story of Esther, and each of us writes up a paragraph or two (or three) on a woman we admire. We toast to Brave Women Who Do What is Right (We toast with pickles!) and celebrate women who follow what the Lord would have us do. Very fun.
