Welcome to another week, my friends. Treat those around you fairly and with love. Those around me include: a dog, a cat, two girls and a boy, some dustbunnies and some dirty laundry. I shall now attempt to treat them fairly and with love.
This weekend included some very stupid things, including me dropping my cellphone into my mocha! I had to buy a new phone. Dumb. My grandmothers who never made me eat anything I didn’t like are totally rolling their eyes at me. And I don’t know what my grandpa’s response would be. But maybe he’d buy me pizza to make me feel better.
And that’s why I bring you the following refrain of a poem entitled, “Terence, This Is Stupid Stuff.” Penned by A.E. Housman, this verse most correctly describes where I am right now… what about you? (And if I ever wrote a poem, that’s got to be the best title ever. Exceptin’ I don’t know a Terence. But I do know a Jeff and a n8 and a Mike and a Dionne and a Heather… and I’m sure they’d love a poem by that title. )
And down in lovely muck I’ve lain,
Happy till I woke again.
Then I saw the morning sky:
Heigho, the tale was all a lie;
The world, it was the old world yet,
I was I, my things were wet,
And nothing now remained to do
But begin the game anew.
