Finally posting the picture from my CVS journey this last week. I have to say I’ve had some proud CVS moments lately:
1) We gave my father-in-law a pail full of goodies for Father’s Day. And were blatantly honest about how it all cost $4.98! (The man works in the “Stewardship Department” of a college, how can he not be proud of my little self-run Stewardship Dept.?) It was a fancy-shmancy razor, shaving cream, Brut deoderant (because Mr MIP remembers the smell of Brut wafting through his childhood), LifeSaver mints, Hershey Kisses, and mint things that I can’t think of their name and air fresheners for his car… He should be thankful that’s all we got him, because apparently this is what we tend to buy people we love:
And here’s a suggestion for those of you who are interested in CVS shopping: Before the end of June, go to your CVS, sign up for the card, then pick up a box of 40 count CVS band-aids, go to the register and buy them. You’ll pay $1.99 (not incl. tax). On the bottom of your receipt, you’ll see you’ve earned $1.99 in ECBs – which means you’ve gotten the band-aids for free. Now go back to the band-aid bin, and take another box of CVS band-aids (40 count!) and go back up to the register – pay for the band-aids with your ECBs and you’ve gotten yourself another $1.99 in ECBs (at the bottom of the receipt) and another free box of band-aids. Woo-hoo! I think the limit on this deal is 3. It’s just a good little experiment to get you going.
The Revlon makeup was B1G1 this week, and I had two $3 off Revlon cosmetic coupons… which means I bought the two makeups for 99 cents. The Coke products were also B1G1 and by buying them in 2 liter bottles I saved myself the embarrassment of dumping the cans all over the floor of Woodman’s. (n8 recommended this life saving technique, and I’m eternally thankful.)
