Raise your hand if you’ve ever been totally exasperated in a photo studio trying to capture that precious moment of your baby or child smiling like an angel? But in reality, you’ve got a 15 minute appointment stuck in between everybody else and their babies and your kids have totally messed up their hair on the way to the studio and the trickle of sweat down your back only serves to make you angrier. Ahh.. deep breath. Relax. If you’ve ever felt that way, you’ll understand my excitement today! We had our friend, Jim Jordan, come take the kids’ photos at our house! It was wonderful!
The only stress I had was when we had to move our kitchen table out of the way and I realized I hadn’t cleaned under the table lately. Oops. But, hey, I can handle that stress. I can’t handle some high schooler taking my baby’s pic.
He got some “help” from the girls…
Maybe the kids were a little too relaxed being at home?
*Disclaimer: None of the above photos was taken by Jim – his are much better. I’ll share some when I get them from him, so you can see his work. He has a blog at Points of Light and if you’re interested in booking him to come take photos of your kids/dogs/hamsters/drumsets in your home, contact him at jjordans6 at gmail.com (He’s in the Elgin area.).
Updated to add: One of the photos Jim took (see what I mean? he’s amazing! okay, so are my kids…but still! book your session now!):
