Just back from a weekend wedding in Michigan. Our band name this time is: Air Snot. Let’s just say SuperBoy was still sick and it’s lucky I’m his mom, otherwise…. ICK!!!
Now on to my real topic of the day: I hate the All-Star Break. No games for almost a week is just too hard on a girl. What else is there to take my mind off the task at hand? (The task at hand being Laundry.)
And doesn’t it seem so unfair that the All-Stars, who must be the ones carrying their teams to victory on a day-to-day basis, don’t get a break, but rather have to put up with more travel to a game where they’ll play for half an inning and dumb interviews and stupid home run contests in which steroids rule? It should be the loser players that have to play the game as punishment for not doing well enough. Give them some extra practice.
(Just a note that the all-star utility player for the Cubs, Mark DeRosa, does deserve to be at the game. But this way he’ll get to go home and spend time with his family. I hope. Mark, you better love your wife and take care of her.)
