SAS Book Reviews are coming to the blog and I’m starting with two of my recent favorites. Remember SAS? Short Attention Span? These are not in-depth reviews, I’ll just be giving short updates on what I’ve been reading and what I’d recommend! I read these months ago, but they’re the ones that I remembered and recommend the most often in “real life”:
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn is coming out in a couple weeks in movie form. BUT before you see the movie, it really is a book you should read first. It tells the story of a man who is accused of killing his wife. That’s all I’m saying. I read it when it first came out as part of an online/faux book club. We all loved it. The ending was a little tiny bit disappointing, but I don’t even remember that part now, all I remember are the good parts. (some language, a little violence)
In fact, if I knew all your text numbers, our convo would go a little something like this because that’s how much fun it was to read:
What Alice Forgot is about a lady who falls and hits her head while working out in a gym. When she awakens, she has forgotten the last ten years of her life. She thinks she’s 29, happily married and expecting her first baby – instead she learns she’s 39 and in the middle of a divorce. Good book. Interesting plot and a good lesson too – how the little things add up, and we don’t even notice them until they’ve piled up into a mess. (some language)
What book(s) have you read lately that you’d recommend??
