Since the last time I wrote, we successfully completed summertime, with all the attendant mosquito bites, cookouts, waterpark visits and…9 hours of grad school classes?
Yep. Last spring I finally felt it was time to apply to grad school. I did so, with the help of some references and a revisit back to old college grades, and was accepted on a Wednesday and started classes that Friday. Eeks! It was sink or swim time. I don’t know why, but I assumed I wouldn’t be accepted to the school, but I was honest about why I wanted to go and honest when I wrote down my extra-curricular activities included “shopping at Target!”
So the classes started and I studied and read and read and read some more and I finished my first nine hours.
Now it’s on to fall and, while still balancing homeschooling my three kids, I’m only doing six hours. The degree is a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. The lessons I’ve learned have been challenging, convicting, but completely rewarding and I’m thankful for my husband who is supporting me in going!
Next up! Fall Goals.
