Saturday morning was my graduation! Two years in the making, I was definitely looking forward to it, but also felt a little odd not knowing anyone there. It takes away some of the fun of it, for sure. But the ceremony itself was good and hey, I didn’t trip. So there’s that.
After the ceremony, we drove up to the town of McKinney – beautiful and very cute downtown, but it was crazy busy.
We ate a really nice lunch at a delicious place called Sugarbacon. That was the part I’d recommend – the wandering around and not being able to eat at the pie shop (which had been on my list of All the Things We Must Do) was a bit disappointing.
Sunday we drove to Ft Worth and saw the tourist-y stockyards…but it was kinda fun. Including doing the maze that had been featured on the Amazing Race and seeing the driving of the cattle down the main street.
And that night? We went to see the must anticipated Captain America: Civil War. Good ending to a fun day being tourists – and graduates!
