Today is Mr MIP’s 40th birthday!
He’ll be all embarrassed when he sees this, but oh well… I have to celebrate it!
I even made a cheesy little playlist with some lovey songs for him:
No One by Alicia Keys: Not sure that he likes this song at all, but SuperBoy and I have an awesome dance we do to this song and I always sing it to Mr MIP. He just rolls his eyes and walks away.
I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash: We honeymooned in Florida and kept hearing this song EVERYwhere we went… it just became our song by default.
Every Breath You Take by the Police: One of the first times I was aware of there being a Mr MIP in my world, he and some of his friends were doing a take on this song at a silly talent contest. It also happens to be the one song I would demand to have if I were on a deserted island (it might just be my favorite song in the whole world).
Come Away With Me by Norah Jones: Again, probably not one he would choose, but this song is beautiful and frankly, the title is what I want to scream everyday at the top of my lungs over the sound of the world. But screaming this song would kinda ruin the atmosphere of it, no?
Baby, I Love Your Way by Big Mountain: Little known fact, Mr MIP is totally into reggae music. And this was another song we heard again and again on our hmoon in Florida. Rock on.
If by Bread: Bread has a special place in our hearts, as we used to listen to my Fruncle’s record of this every New Year’s Eve back in the day. And I can get even Mr MIP to join in on the cheesiness of this song.
It’s cheesier than Kraft!
Merry Birthday, Steve!
