It’s already Wednesday and I haven’t even told you about our weekend yet! Saturday the kids and I and my mom and grandma drove to my in-law’s house where we celebrated our annual Purim lunch. Each year, all the women and girls of the family get together and celebrate Bold, Brave, Beautiful Women Who Love God and Do What Is Right! Of course, the official Purim is a Jewish holiday celebrating Esther and the saving of the Jews and the destruction of Haman. (When Haman’s name is mentioned, you’re supposed to stomp your feet and make loud noises.)
We’ve been doing this about eight years now, and each year we are supposed to write up a little biography of a woman who chose God and did what is right. My girls and I did Jochobed (mother of Moses) and Joy Ridderhof (founder of Gospel Recordings) this year.
I hope it’s a way for my girls to remember the Lord and to remember to be Bold, Brave, Beautiful Women Who Trust God!
